    “at the end of the day a good movie is one that stays with you, one that you’ll carry forward and hold in your mind at least a while after the end credits roll. Cherry is a good movie because of this, and here Tom Holland clearly makes his claim as one of the acting greats of his generation. He holds the story together singlehandedly and begs to make it grounded despite the narratives continuous swaying into fictitious territory. I was undoubtedly moved and invested in this movie at least until the end where things go off the rails and we forget that this started of as a love story between two vulnerable young people. The development of their relationship remains a clearcut highlight for me with Tom pulling at my heartstrings.”

    “watched in imax. im gonna keep this short: - script felt dumbed down too much with a bit too much exposition tbh. It loses the subtlety of delivering its core message by being so direct about it - people say they got used to the modern language, i did not and it still felt out of place to me - absolutely insane scale of filming and spectacle with the standouts being with the cyclops and agememnons reveal on that forsaken night - perhaps the fault of the odyssey itself but he is lowkey running away from everything a lot - phenomenal acting (putting aside my problems with script) from everyone INCLUDING tom except for the one scene where he says enough rob pat goat”
